Embarc’s Statement on the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As the situation around the new coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, the safety and well-being of our members and team members remains our top priority. We are closely following government instructions, as well as guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and Health Canada.

Government regulations surrounding COVID-19 change frequently. While we strive to provide the latest information to our guests, it is each individual’s responsibility to comply with such regulations, including any quarantine or travel restrictions. Before travel, please check and ensure you understand the regulations applicable to you based on your location, destination and party.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information

We know our members and guests are ready to get back to taking your much-deserved vacations, and getting the COVID-19 vaccination may give you the extra peace of mind you need to get started. Find out if you are eligible to receive the vaccine by visiting your local health department’s website.

Certain destinations may require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for access to local restaurants, tourist spots and on-site amenities, such as gyms and other common areas. Additional local restrictions regarding capacity and crowd size may also be enforced. As this is an evolving situation, we highly recommend you become familiar with all applicable health and government mandates before you travel to understand any requirements or restrictions that may affect your vacation experience.

British Columbia Travel Regulations

Entering B.C.

Visitors entering British Columbia for essential reasons from another province or territory are not required to self-quarantine. All guests must follow the current province-wide restrictions for British Columbia, as described at www2.gov.bc.ca///gov/content/covid-19/travel/current.

Leaving B.C.

Please review the relevant travel advisories and restrictions for travel outside of British Columbia before departing:

Recreational Travel in B.C.

Recreational travel is allowed, including vacation, weekend getaways and tourism activities, visiting family or friends for social reasons, and recreation activities.

Quebec Travel Restrictions

As of June 14, 2021, families from two households may occupy the same Vacation Home.

Face Coverings

It is now mandatory for all members and guests to wear face coverings at the Embarc destinations listed below.

Unless you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, all members and guests at Embarc Palm Desert and Embarc Sandestin should continue to wear face coverings while in public indoor spaces, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance. Visitors must also continue to practice social distancing by remaining at least six feet away from other groups. Following CDC guidance, team members at Embarc Sandestin who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be required to wear face coverings in all public areas. All other Embarc team members in the U.S., Canada and Mexico will continue to be required to wear face coverings regardless of vaccination status for the time being.

Reservation Options

We understand that these uncertain times call for additional flexibility, and we continue to take steps to offer you options with your membership. Keeping everyone's health and safety in mind, we have temporarily adjusted our cancellation policies.

Effective September 2, 2020, members scheduled to arrive at any Embarc Resorts managed property can cancel any reservation up to the date of arrival without penalty due to any local, state, province or federal mandated closure. This includes border closures and mandatory quarantine guidelines. Once your reservation is cancelled, all points used at time of booking will be released back to your account.
